We take expenses as they come. We have spent as little as $1200 for a flawless year and as much as 23K when we were down for 9 months. I would LOVE to actually build NEW stuff here, but until we even cover the most basic expenses, let's start with that. So far this year we are at about $240. Tat is well below the bare minimum to keep going. If we can get to $1200, I will commit to another year. If not, then what is the point right? If we have a crash or other unexpected problem, it could cost us way more. At that point, short of someone stepping up with a couple thousand like S. McDonald did a couple years ago, there is no way I could justify keeping it going. If those folks who have been here for literally decades at this point without contributing a dime would stop being cheapskates, we'd be fine. It sucks for others to have to make up for it year after year, but you can see the names to know who has kept the lights on and who has been all take and no give.
