The gestation period of this recording was longer than a human's. Focus in on Elton John's use of inversions and passing tones to dress up a beautifully simple tune. Dee Murray often gets credit for this unique aspect of many Elton John tunes, but he was really committed to following John's left hand in an almost orchestral fashion. Beautiful, Paul. Your execution of it is elegant, and yet you comfortably describe the moves while playing them. I love that double glissando.

Believe it or not, I met Dee when he played with the Spencer Davis Group for a dance at my high school in 1968 0r 69!! Being a pro isn't all gravy, is it? Paul
