"My 88 Keys" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=2300275For Dan, who wanted another, (no, not a spanking, a song silly). And I hope not a silly song. This is about the piano I instantly found out that I loved playing a piano! Sure do miss playing these last few months. I know this song has been up here before, so no need to reply as you all have been too kind to me plenty of times for this song already. Thanks Dan, hope you enjoy. I just want to say to all reading this that I miss listening to your songs and reviewing them. I can't as most of you know why, (Tinnitus the reason for those who didn't). So please except my apology for not being active over the past year. "My 88 Keys" http://soundclick.com/share?songid=2300275

Sweet song, Johnny - particularly moving given the challenge you're facing right now. It's got a great melody and lyric - and it's always a pleasure to hear you play piano Scott

Ah,,those beginning ringing......take care of the volumes now. for those early ringings are nothing compared to actual Tinnitus. Big difference. One is,,,one isn't. (Even taking out the constant aspect of it). Funny!!! At least I'm out of the 60's with that one!!! Yeah...Progressive, I'm not! I just love the music from before the 90's much more,,,back to the long hairs even,,,the original long hairs, that is, (Chopin, Beethoven, etc). And all in between. 50's 60;s and 70's! Whoa!!! So, I just created sort of new songs in their styles,,,out of love for them. Thanks for the nice comment on this song. As :"hit" as it might have been then, I hear one friend's comment on it when at a party when he really didn't know it was my song he was hearing on the boom box, (CD). He said,,,,,"what's this sh,t"?! WE laughed so hard over that. He felt so bad,,,but Buddy and I thought it to be very funny and actually, normal, as not everyone will like the same things. I'm dealing with the T as best I can...It's only a sound, right?!

Hi Johnny This is beautiful, love the lyrics, and the sound, wow hah, I'm a fan! Hugs Michele Thanks...That sound is from signals being used to try to compliment each other. I know my voice's frequencies, and how other sounds sound with it. So, I use certain settings for the bass and drums and the keyboard piano even. I hoped it would have a certain sound for others to simple like, that is like a good marriage out of Utah,,,,with several complimenting parts! ha!

Sweet song, Johnny - particularly moving given the challenge you're facing right now. It's got a great melody and lyric - and it's always a pleasure to hear you play piano Scott I only thought of that point about it being moving, (to me), after I started to have that song do loops in my head form just seeing the title. After I started to silently sing the lyrics, (or actually hear them as recorded in my head), It hit me then as to how much I miss and will miss playing piano and singing while playing, and of course being the band with those great guys. But it's all a gratitude feeling for me, (99% anyway). For to be able to have done music things in the first place, is something to be thankful for. Any other feelings would just disrespect those times and the people that spent them with me. Johnny

Thanks Nadia....That's when I "was".
Sub has a wall in his studio, where he has all the albums he has played on,,(Michael Jackson, Gloria Estevan, Celene Dion, The Daou, etc, etc. He called it his "Wall of Was"! That always stuck with me. I see this song as just that. My "Song of Was". All things pass, and we all have our peaks,,,usually being in our prime of age and health. I think I was in my prime period around that time of that song. (my perceived prime period from 1982 to about 2000). My voice was controllable and not aged as much as it has been through the 2LT song and band era. (2005 though recently). Now, I have only my past work to present, and I thank you for appreciating and enjoying what I feel might be one of my strongest efforts all around. That song could speak for me if anyone wants to know who I am musically and music love wise.
Thanks again Nadia, (keep playing on!) Johnny

If just only in my dreams.
Thank you Nadia. I'm adjusting. I'm currently involved with an exciting, creative project, not music like. But, I'm making things shine as always, just in a different direction.
I would not want to risk having Tinnitus again, (if a cure happens). So without wanting to take a second chance on that miracle, future playing with amps and/or headphones are out of the question as I see it now. I'm OK with having to deal with that. Just feel bad for the guys in the band. To affect others is something different.
Thanks again. Very nice of you. I'm ok. I did some things I'm proud of and as it goes, we can't be doing something forever anyway. So, I had my time in music,,,,,lots of it actually. Didn't think I would be playing out again after 30 years not. Played singer-songwriter style for the first time, (at 52), being past my prime, at Brian's JPF showcases in 2005. Traveled with my wife to them, throughout the Northeast US! On stage at the Regent theater, closing the showcase! Meeting all kinds of JPF members and hearing them perform! Played in the 2LT band for four years after! Did some other cool things with other musicians in that time, (Scott Campbell, Mike Caro, Mike McCourt and friends, Phillies played song, Kimmel Center in Philly!). My Music God!,,, Those last 5 years were great icing on the cake! I never thought I would play out one note a day before I was asked by Brian to play at the first showcase. Then to met up with JIm Calore (bass2x) and Marnie to start the 2LT band, and to meet Roon again! And meet Iggy and Doc! Whoa!!!! LUCKY ME!
2005 to just a few months ago was an exciting, full throttle, Wild and Crazy Ride of my Life! A bonus GIFT that I will cherish, not feel bad about not having gone on more. That WAS a lot MORE as is! A book's worth and then some!

Glad you liked it Dan. Very kind of you to let me know your passionate thoughts for it.
As I think inspiration and love sometimes results is works better than the writer has skills, I feel that way with this song. (If I sat down to write this kind of song, it would be a tough one to be try to come up with). Sometimes songs come to me more than I work at them. I wish I was that good. I would have a retirement fund to live on by now if I was.
We all get gifts from time to time.
