Ok, here's how I see this unfolding. The skycam pans over the mountains to a sleepy little town in Oregon, lush evergreen forests etc. The opening credits roll. Sandra Bullock is the highschool sweetheart, now married to,oh some actor who cares who he is, and Halle Berry is the mysterious woman who has just come to town. The story line is by Billy Bob Thorton but is being produced by the Cohen Brothers.......Oh, I may have gotten carried away there but you get the idea. Great music for a movie, could easily be a theme throught.

Sounds like a good scenario Alador, except I'd like a supernatural component as well. Oh wait; Halle Berry as the mysterious woman could add that component.

And I’m in a park where there’s children running free and Frisbees being tossed. There’s couples holding hands and twinkling from the sun between the trees as I fly (supernatural component) around, bird’s eye view, of the comings and goings of those who dare to enjoy the day.

Very, very beautiful! This is like a "Warm & Fuzzy" on a bad day. It is comforting, relaxing and takes you away from it all to another magical place where all is well.

Although the music is different, I still got an "Over the Rainbow" feel as I listened both times. It's just the way the fabric of the violins is woven around the central theme. It's as though Dorothy has just escape from some peril and happens upon this magic valley and her fears have all turned to wonderment and comfort. The birds are flying above her head, softly chirping, the fruit on the tress and the flowers on their pedestals are almost smiling at her, etc. It is very "dreamy"! Nice work, John! All the best!

"Over the Rainbow" is my favorite all-time song. So simplistic, yet perfect. Oh yeah, the best version is Judy Garland's.

Yes, my orchestrations have defintely be influenced by the old movies.

I just read an article in Newsweek title "Heaven Help Us". It was about the visions we carry around in our heads about Heaven, and the movies that depict the vision of Heaven.

Anyway, the author chose the movie "After Life" as the best heaven movie.

This movie viewed Heaven as your most wonderful moment on Earth, which in turn would become your eternity. Kind of like making an eternal loop out of that one great moment.

Choosing that moment would be a very difficult task for me. How 'bout you. Besides, I don't think I'd want to live within such a loop.

I thought the article kind of ties in with heavenly music like "Over the Rainbow", and what I tried to achieve in "A Beautiful Place".

You said you like to know what people see when listening to your music, this song reminded me again of Somewhere in Time..one of my fav. soundtracks. I see a woman dressed in the early 1900's looking out a window as rain starts to wet the window pane and she is tenderly wiping a tear of joy from her cheek as she is remembering the picnic her and her lover had today, under the old oak tree, where he carved her name and fed her cheese and wine, then taking her gently by her face, and kissing her slightly...she is in love, so is he. and this is what I see..

Do you see what your music does. It inspires people, it takes them to other places, other times where they instantly create visuals in their minds.....that's a very good thing. Another fine piece but I'm not surprised. Thank you for pampering us with such classic music.

Very cool piece John and I do see an opening to a movie here... Small town America a family loading their station wagon to go, perhaps vacation, dad directing the kids on where to put their things......the point being it is a very visual piece, Thanks for letting us all take a trip with you.
