We need YOUR success story and will give you a FREE sub-license to any song at our website in exchange. You will get RESULTS with our songs and we need to share YOUR success with our clients. This is an EASY way for you to add a well written song to your playlist. Visit the website, listen to our songs and choose the one you want to cover. Send us a message stating your goals for the song. We want to know where you will perform the song, will it be on your CD, what agencies will you send these CDs to.
Here’s what one of our songwriter’s sent us this past week~ “Hey R I had the delight of hosting the Chicago Singer Spotlight Show at Fitzgerald's last night. I chose to do an unplugged tune w/o the band for my intermission selection... You guessed it ....I did DP....You could've heard a pin drop!!! Thunderous applause when I finished... How about those bananas!!! :)”
1. Visit website at wwwSongs2Share.com 2. Select song you want to cover 3. Send us a message and tell us what you will do with the song
We will post the names of those artists who receive complimentary sub-licenses from Songs2Share and their success stories & adventures with the songs at our MySpace sites.

Hey Roberta,
What's a free sub-licence ? I thought anyone could cover anything in a venue. You mean record it without paying the mechanical licence ?
cheers, niteshift

Hi niteshift, Every time you perform a cover song at a gig, really - you owe the songwriter and musc publisher a royalty. Performance rights are not givens.
The mechanical license covers the rights to produce and sell CDs which include the song as well as downloads and other cyber usage.
The free sub-license offer is for performing bands and/or vocalists who need a new song to record and promote themselves. It includes both mechanical rights as well as non-broadcast performance rights and even the use of the instrumental track.
Cheers ~ R

Gotcha ! In regard to live performance, it is the venue owner, or broadcaster who pays the licence fee, not the performer.
Intersting promo, and a good way of getting the songwriters songs cut where they are not able to afford the production, or don't have the contacts to do so. Hope you get a few writers out there, that wouldn't have otherwise got the chance. Best of luck.
cheers, niteshift
