i started playing with a band "broken cowboys" and tonight we get to open up for ALABAMA!!!!!!!! is that too sweet or what?
the venue has 6700 reserved seats and a lawn that they open up that seats twice as many.
it's the biggest venue around and my biggest venue i've played.
just had to toot my own horn. thanks.

hey y'all,
the show was awesome. at the time we went on for sound check there was already an estimated crowd of 2500. what a rush even that was to have the pro sound of dss (who made us sound great). all the road crew was awesome. at the time we played for the actual show the place was packed at around 17000 people. too unreal.. i felt like i was in a made for tv movie lol. we had all access passes, free beer and bbq. it was like a dream come true. for anyone who was at the show i was playing mandolin and singing harmony. i looked damn good on the jumbo tron too, huge... but good.
all in all i wasn't too nervous (thanks to the stage fright post) and one of the biggest things that helped was down playing everything. but at the same time knowing it was a great opportunity and one hell of a rush.
wish you all could've been there..hope some of you were there. we brought the house down and more than likely the booking agent will use us again. what's next? i'm still on a cloud.
