Armed with only a guitar, a few cowboy cut shirts, and a handful of road-worthy songs, Midwest Dilemma will pour his heart out for audiences throughout the south. Omaha, Nebraska based singer-songwriter Justin Lamoureux, who pretty much makes up Midwest Dilemma, has a country influenced indie-rock style that is keeping him on the road. Midwest Dilemma will make an appearance in New Orleans, LA, on Monday, May 30th, 2005. The evening will begin with Minneapolis, Minnesota native Brad Hoshaw at 8pm at the Neutral Ground Coffeehouse, located on 5110 Danneel St. The show will be all ages and free admission. Midwest Dilemma will play at 9pm with Genial Orleanians closing down the night at 10pm. Born and raised in the Heartland, Justin Lamoureux has much to tell about his life and experiences growing up in the Midwest. At an early age Justin's father, a 30-year veteran railroader and singer/songwriter, helped influence his journey and life as a musician. Leaving his tired Sioux City, IA hometown for a new beginning and flourishing music scene, Omaha, NE was a needed change of pace. Not until after his early twenties did Lamoureux find his own voice and simplistic approach to songwriting. Many of his songs originated from inspiration found in the weather, relationships, geography and situations that sometimes hit close to home. But don't confuse the word simplistic with boring. Justin puts it all on the line with his intense stage presence and explosive style, revealing urgency for honest emotion. In mid-2002 Midwest Dilemma was introduced by Lamoureux as a concept that would take shape through writing, recording, and touring. Midwest Dilemma has logged thousands of miles throughout the country sharing the stage with artists such as Jesse Malin, Kathleen Edwards, Kid Dakota and country legend, Malcolm Holcombe. "A chaotic wave of simplicity and emotion at its finest... down to earth songs that take you to other places." - Matt Reed, Long Island, New York For additional information and audio samples please visit www.midwestdilemma.com. "You really shouldn't listen too much to your positive press or your negative press. Both are probably inaccurate. But if you find you must heed the opinions of others, why not choose the 80% who love you?" -Brian Austin Whitney
