Did any of you take a step back lately to look at what’s being posted here? It’s honestly disappointing. And sometimes it looks like you guys are ruining this site on purpose.
This forum should be a place where people feel welcome to share songs, ideas, and creative thoughts. But lately, the tone in some threads has become very toxic. Personal attacks, insults, and name-calling don’t just hurt the people involved — they drive away others who might want to contribute.
This is an international community. People from all over the world come here to learn about songwriting, connect with other creatives, and celebrate music. Right now, it’s starting to look like a schoolyard fight, and that’s not a good reflection on any of us — or on the art we claim to love. We can disagree about music, lyrics, religion, or politics — that’s part of what makes discussion interesting — but we should do it respectfully. Let’s show some maturity, a bit of humor, and a little grace. The world could use more of that — and so could this forum. Rob, I honestly think Ben is to blame. He gave it fuel I wouldn't have even known it was here if it wasnt bumped up Then marty continues to try his best to rally the troops against me. It just gets old. The good thing is nobody cares anyway

Hey Dom,
I get it — it’s easy to point fingers when things get heated, but that’s kind of the problem. Once we start blaming each other, the actual conversation gets lost.
My point wasn’t about who started what — it’s about how we all handle disagreement. This is a songwriting forum, not a battleground. I think most of us would rather get back to sharing music and ideas instead of arguing about who’s right. Let’s hit reset and move on. The best way to prove the “good thing” you mentioned — that people don’t care about drama — is to post more songs and fewer jabs.

The great thing about this forum is that anyone who’s had enough of that kind of behavior can simply use the “ignore” feature — and instantly shut it down. If enough people do that, you’ll have the whole site to yourself… but you won’t see what anyone else posts. The same goes for anyone who keeps posting inappropriate stuff. It’s really that simple.

It's "hits and likes" that seem to detract from the natural creative cohesion necessary for a "Songwriting Site"! The "numbers" seem to have replaced any desire for mutual respect and human connection... The math has become the antithesis of music. The program has replaced the heart. Imperfection is no longer human. There's no room for organic art.

The feedback focused on the song. They understood the demo limitations. Then it evolved to home recording with protools. Then people started caring about how it sounded. Now it has evolved past diy,to let ai do it. Youngins never learned how to write, they rely in tech and performance to carry it. and the youngins will go to Snapchat or ever evolving social media sites. Even if youngins came here, it wouldnt. Be a natural environment for them

I have a few questions about it.

When I asked a third time, they usually say it comes down to having faith or not. I am a, not. Faith appears to be belief in the absence of evidence. I can't honestly persuade myself to do that. I am resigned to the possibility that I may die and never get an evidenced answer. As a creature on a lonely planet in a universe that is beyond imagination, I may not be entitled to an explanation. That ultimate outcome is something else that I do not know.

The term agnostic (from the Greek- meaning "without" and meaning "knowledge") primarily refers to a person who holds the view that the existence of God, the divine, or the supernatural is unknown and possibly unknowable.
There is no agnostic bible that agnostics must learn. Agnostics vary from one to the next. I am nothing more than a single individual who "doesn't know."
As for me...
If someone asked me, "How do you think that the universe was created?"
My answer...
I don't know. I wasn't there. I wish that I could tell you, because I would very much like to know, but I can't, because I don't know.
There are people to ask that question who say that they have the answer (below). Upwards to 10,000 of them, but they dont agree on many things and two of the 4 majors have vehemently condemning passages in their doctrines concerning other religions. Believe us or spend eternity in a state of damantion.
When I ask a Christian or a Muslim for proof of their religious beliefs, they cite the Quoran and the Bible. When I asked for proof outside the doctrine, they cite the doctrine again. When I asked a third time, they usually say it comes down to having faith or not. I am a, not. Faith appears to be belief in the absence of evidence. I can't honestly persuade myself to do that. I am resigned to the possibility that I may die and never get an evidenced answer. As a creature on a lonely planet in a universe that is beyond imagination, I may not be entitled to an explanation. That ultimate outcome is something else that I do not know.
Christianity or Islam or one of 10,000 others may have it right, but I don't know whether they do or not.
Questions:
1) Am I evil for sticking to a rationale (agnosticism) that my instincts compel me to stick to?
2) Is the voice in my mind actually the voice of Satan, misguiding me to eternal damnation?
3) How does anything in the above "empower" me to assume the authority to limit adult interaction on a public songwriting forum.
