As Christmas approaches, I decided to write something for the occasion. I had to pay homage, especially for my dear departed mother who liked me to write such lyrics for her.
(Vs)
With a crown of thorns hanging on a cross,
he bore their sins with open arms,
even as they laughed and cursed his name.
He came into this world to save the lost,
knowing that he would suffer harm;
fully aware he would die alone in pain.

He pitied those looking up at him
and in his love he forsook wrath
asking God to forgive what they have done.

This is awesome. I'm sure your mom's up there smilin'!
I'm kinda surprised that there aren't too many Christmas songs being written!
If this one don't find a collaborator, I'd post it again aroud Easter. It's a great song!

Thanks Geneva for the kind words and for giving it a read. Maybe we will see more Christmas songs toward the middle of the month as Christmas draws closer. I really liked your lyric as well.

Hi James,
This is a lovely write! My mom says that when she'd ask about Jesus, her father always told her, "one day you will understand for yourself why Jesus was important." She says she has always thought of what her father said, and as she grows older, she understands the statement more and more.
