Howdy All!

One of the best voice teachers in the world comes from a small town in Northwestern Ohio. His name is James Estep.

I can quote him directly.

"You can teach anyone to act, but you can't teach them to sing."

This is the simple truth. You are born with a voice. That voice is what it is. If you have no ability to detect whether you are out of tune, God speed that you should give it up and don't waste your time and money trying to turn a pig's ear into silk.

It ain't gonna happen.

Those who can hear can improve, but are still stuck with the same vocal cords. Most people have very little talent as far as the arts are concerned. If they are smart, they realize this.

If they don't they probably end up on American Idol, crying.
