Back in 2015, a young guy from Libya sent me an EDM instrumental. For that track I wrote a vocal melody and lyrics and recorded the vocals in my home studio with a young vocalist who lived nearby. She did an awesome job.

Since the quality of the original instrumental wasn't quite good enough, I decided to re-record the music myself. It's technically a remix because I changed the music slightly.

I just finished the project and thought I'd share it with you guys. Hope you enjoy it!

Electronic Dance Music (EDM).

Who knows? lol.

Must be insistent, continuous, hypnotic. Its function seems more exercise, movement, workout on the dance floor. Maybe the lyric needs one central focus only?

So choose the one mantra? Stars, night, kiss….pick one, stick w it, never slow the beat insistent, consistent w the dance work out purpose

So, bottom line is, this music seems to stop and start somewhat, which is counter purpose?

thanks for the feedback. It doesn't really stop and restart. I use brief moments of silence to create anticipation between sections. The BPM stays exactly the same - I just let the beat drop out for a moment before it comes back in. It's a pretty common EDM technique, like in Avicii's “Levels.”
