I just found this board and thought this would be as good a place as any to say hi.

I'm a bass player with a day job, been playing bass (and day jobbing) for 34 years, though there have been a few years in there where I was just a full time musician.

I've got some neat basses:

'68 Telecaster bass, good for rock or blues gigs

'95 Carvin fretless five string, good for acoustic duo/trio gigs

'01 Carvin six string, yikes this thing makes all those clean glassy sounds, good for pop and jazz rock

early 60's Hagstrom, forget the model name, the one with the plastic front on the plywood body... thin short scale neck, great recording bass

early 60's Hagstrom hollow body bass, unique tone, not so usable but real pretty to look at

homemade-from-garage-sale-trash fretless words cannot describe...

Usually running through a SWR Workingman's head into a 2x10, but I also have an early '70's SVT for outdoor or large rooms. I also have a '72 Sound City Bass Concord (original owner) which sounds great with the Telecaster but quite noisy in her old age.

I'm ready to tour with just about any band that would have me, but they can't find me in the woods here. So I'll stick with my day job. Unless you email your offer to bluetarp04(at)yahoo.com.... [Linked Image]

See y'all round the board....
