Thanks, Stan. I remember the ASF. I've had a couple honorable mentions in that and in the Unisong contest before, but getting a first place is a much better boost, needless to say. I hadn't entered anything for a long time. It's interesting, because one of my wins was for a song I wrote back in 1980, and the other was for one I wrote last year.

And I don't know how much mileage one can get out of these things. While it's gratifying, you don't hear of many contest winners going on to recording success; at least, I haven't. I know there have been a few, but it's certainly no guarantee of success. How's it been for you?
