Tonys been doing that forever, its not stealing per se, with me, he just starts writing new verses to my original. And he does it not to steal, he does it cause he wants to ccolaborate, but knows if he asks, it wont happen. so he just does it and tries to show you why you need him lol
Hes done that to me on more than one occasion.
Two things. Just writing newly phrased words over an opriginal idea, does not make it better, and does not really complete the originals intention, and it doesnt come from the same fire as the person who thought of the idea.
its just saying..ok ill use your title and write a new song.
Nothing legally wrong with it, but your gonna have to convince me, the one who might sing it one day, its better than mine/
the second thing, Rob B, you do the same thing, ...just using my idea and writing something new, is not bettering it.
the idea is probably everythying, and the fact that your muse went down and pulled that one out, is way different than just writing an alternate version.
Boy, this site sucks,as you were but there are milions of songs on spotify, youtube, radio, records and tapes, to be inspired by. why would this inspire you lol
i get it, its about being somebody on the site.
but dang, how does the title self respect, inspire you.
the key is not saying self respect at all, show dont tell. could write a whole song about somebody trying for self respect without saying it.'then the listener might say..oh yes shes talking about self respect...
tbhh neither version is any good I simply think of it as inspiration... Good grief, how many broken heart songs have been written in the last 100yrs!? Kay wrote another domestic abuse song... yawn... I took it in another direction... on another thread... once I was flatly ignored. And, for the record lol, you could really use some help at times, Dom. Besides... WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE DOING HERE!?

"Sometimes reaching a goal earlier than planned is a great achievement. It shows you have worked hard, pushed ahead and made it happen. However, sometimes reaching a goal far past your original deadline, long after you wanted to complete it, and after the accolades you might once have gotten for the achievement are over, it is an even greater achievement. This shows you never gave up, due to adversity, deficit, criticism and those little life detours that end many dreams and goals. In many ways, this is a reason for even more pride!" -Brian Austin Whitney
