So easy to say take the money and deal with whatever comes, but if you see something coming you don't like...why take the money?

John, its against my better judgement to answer your question. But I will because I think that you and I can have a discussion without devolving to knuckle-dragger name calling. Having said that, I dont want to go on and on about it. I'm gonna answer and leave it. As a personal favor, please respond and ask no more questions. (typed with a smile)

#2 Why do intelligent parents urge their children not to zealously follow their "dreams" with no regard for practicalities or the risk of becoming one of the 99% who dont "make-it,"... but rather to develop an employable skill that will support their lives?

#3 Macro Answer---"soft assets" like culture and fit."
Why did Kamala Harris lose an election badly to a "felon," notwithstanding all her talk of "joy?" (culture, emotion and diffuse abstraction)
Or Trudeau get turned out so abruptly?
Because the world has ignored hard realities for many years now...and substituted wishful, chimerical and non-reality thinking, for nuts and bolts practicalities (fundamentals)...and in the past 4 years, the consequences have become clear, not only to the people who recognized them at the outset, but now, also to people whose lives have gone under that bus. (way of thinking)

Have a nice day,
I enjoy your posts. We are different in many ways, but it is more fun to discuss things with people who are different than same. But not here. The trolls are allowed to attack and degrade upon whim. We should find another website.
