I agree great hook, on paper, I had the same problem on a song called shes a jeanious, listener can't see that, I changed it, you'll hear it eventually...

Back to this, it's a great hook, I LOVE the verses, I honestly don't think the chorus works, it comes off musically as a joke type of statement, based off n that Calypso hook. That might work with a different lyric.

But the verses are great, sounds like Genesis...the band, not the book

But this is totally worth rehauling, perhaps couch's 'advice can help too

I'd stay with the verses style all the way through, you don't wanna be changing genres

Of course all subjective here.
