New artists are not easy to find. I spend a couple hours a day searching and contacting. I find a lot on Twitter, Reverbnation and googling "Indie artists". Even though the artist is also a "songwriter", I still contact them. Many times all they did was co-write and have very little skill as a songwriter, but want to have "songwriter" on their resume. These artists are always looking for a good song. My point is: don't give up. Keep looking.
