Hey fellow bassists- I've got a new demo of a Latin Jazz piece that features my bass playing prominently. I put a link up on the MP3 feedback forum for songwriting ideas, but I also wanted to get some feedback from a bassists point of view. Let me know what you think. Sorry, my pc is down and my laptop won't give me sound. This Christmas, we're getting a family computer with a good soundcard. In the meantime, when I read you needed some feedback, I was going to suggest you turn up and step closer to your amp. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) All the Best, Mike ------------------ Mike Dunbar Music
You've got to know your limitations. I don't know what your limitations are. I found out what mine were when I was twelve. I found out that there weren't too many limitations, if I did it my way. -Johnny Cash It's only music. -niteshift Mike Dunbar Music

Boaz,
That sounded like a lot of fun. This is a style of music I'm really just beginning to discover so even as a bassist, I'm hesitant to critique it, but here goes.-
I like the solid pocket you set up and the simple but dynamic variations as you shifted it aound in the groove. It really kept it interesting. With everything elso going on you could have left that basic groove alone, but you pushed it around. I dug that alot.
Solo wise, at times I almost forgot it was a bass I was hearing. Not a complaint just an observation. Just as I was about to think you were hanging around to much (although doing interesting things) in the upper register, you started tossing in some deeper notes, soaring and diving. You kept me hanging just long enough. That made me smile.
I'd love to be the guy holding down the bottom when you snap.

Cozmicslop-
Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate the compliment. Maybe someday we could collaborate.
