And I'm not quite sure it's hit me yet.

On January 20th, my first official worldwide release is coming out through Lion Music. Last year I was asked to lend vocal and piano skills to the 2nd solo release from Marcel Coenen. I co-wrote and recorded tracks for two songs on "Colour Journey". A one time only live perfomance of this album is taking place on January 28 in the Netherlands and I am being flown out for the performance, as well as opening the show doing a one hour solo set of my original material. Both sets are being filmed for DVD releases. In conjuction with this gig, I will be releasing my first solo EP, entitled "Achromatic" with four vocal and one instrumental song.

Later this year my Progressive Rock band, Persephone's Dream, will be releasing their 4th album (1st with my voice), "Pyre of Dreams". This CD is being co-produced by one of my favorite vocalists, DC Cooper, who coached and produced the vocal sessions. Complete dream come true there. I will also be lending vocal and lyric work to Bulgarian Progressive Rock/Metal band, Pantommind's, 2nd major release, "Lunasense".

Finally, just yesterday I was asked for permission to use the lyrics of my song "Winds of Change" for an upcoming Brain Injury conference in Canada. The lyrics will be included in the delegates bindings, and the song will be played during the conference.

I'm still in shock.

Colleen, WOW!! You must be REELING from it all! As a fellow songwriter, I'm SO HAPPY and rejoicing for you!! Woo-hooo!! I read your lyrics and listened to "Winds of Change". It fits so WELL with the conference in Canada-- it will give hope to many people in that situation. God bless it and YOU!!

Things like that are happening in my life right now, too!! I've been interviewed by newspapers from three cities in the last week [who are doing big stories on me within the week], my current single is #2 in America right now on the Christian Music Weekly Chart AND getting Australian airplay, and I was nominated in five categories on the IndieHeaven website for the "Momentum Awards"! Whew! This music thing seems feast or famine sometimes!! Right now is the feasting time, I guess!! Congrats again, Colleen! Really enjoyed the song. Many more blessings to you, Becky Wright
