On January 29, I received an e-mail with the press release for the Radio Free Virgin alliance. I printed the release and took it with me to an open mic that evening and was rewarded with 12 new members for our chapter. This is very exciting news for Just Plain Folks, and one more reason to become more involved with your chapter.
If you care about making your music, you definitely want to take some time to explore, as you're doing now, the updated web site. I hope you will check out a number of the back issues of Just Plain Notes - download them, or copy/paste them into a document for offline reading.
I also hope you will contact me with input for a major chapter launch in the near future. There is much to be done, and your help will be appreciated by many.
So, new members and out-of-touch members, WELCOME TO THE FOLD! Let's make a difference in the local music scene!

Hey there:
I am the LA Chapter coordinator. You already have enough to start a chapter with the 12 members you recruited with the press release. It only takes 10 people to start a chapter and you are two ahead of the game.
So set up a meeting! Network! Ask Questions about what you want to accomplish during your first 6 months and 1 year of being a JPF Chapter.
Get those email addresses from those 12 members and start your email list. What a great START! Keep up the good work!!
