Two things. Just writing newly phrased words over an opriginal idea, does not make it better, and does not really complete the originals intention, and it doesnt come from the same fire as the person who thought of the idea.

The stories were the same and your complete chorus was almost identical to mine. There was no way I could have copied your song because I released mine first. p.s. for reference, I used to literally go to MAB's house over the course of two years and he would take my ideas as well. and just go in another room and re-write it. That's why I stopped hanging out with him. He only lived 15 min from my house.

Can we all agree, that when you post an idea or a concept and someone wants to expand on it or help with a co-write, that you ask permission privately, like writers do in real life?

Yes, I first released my version. I never changed that one. I still have it. Then you sent me a recording in bad quality and I let Suno do a cover of it. The second version was yours, which was based on your 15-year old one-line concept. You admitted that you only had one line but you claimed your "version" was better than mine. It had identical lines and had pretty much the same melody. If you ask me, that's a steal, but you see it differently. Like I said, I apologized and took the song off the board, but Tony, that's not the way songwriters work together. If somebody inspires you to write a song, you say so. Tony didn't post his song in Kay-lynn's thread. He created a new thread. I posted my ideas in YOUR thread! Where did I copy your song? First, I tried helping you complete your lyric. Then I wrote a completely new lyric and used just one line of your original lyric. I posted it in your thread so everybody could see where the inspiration came from. Guys, why are we posting song ideas in a forum? If this is really how you all feel, I'm going to have to go. Sorry Dom for stealing your ideas. Why did you give me a thumbs up for doing it?
