I just found another song of mine lying around, collecting dust. When I compose music, I like to experiment with different genres. Musically, I would describe “It’s All Been Said Before” as an epic, with big orchestra parts. The music has a dramatic, slightly heroic quality and creates a great, overwhelming atmosphere. It's a genre influenced by classical and romantic music and bears similarities to film music. I wrote the lyrics together with Martin Goetz from Austria, but I composed the music on my own. I’m a bit proud of this one because it doesn’t sound like many of my other songs. You have to listen to it to the bitter end. I still get goosebumps when I hear how it ends. I hope you like it as much as I do. This is my original recording sung by Sarah Fischer: https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10665949Below is the new Suno cover version. I used the following prompts in Suno: power pop, ballad, singer-songwriter, female vocals, layered harmonies, vocal harmonies, melancholic, ethereal, atmospheric, string ensemble, piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, drums, pads, synth, studio recording I left all the other prompts I used in the lyrics below. I'm not sure I would call this an AI song because it was written by humans but AI was involved in the production. IT’S ALL BEEN SAID BEFOREhttps://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=15087150[hyper-modern production with clear vocals, no autotune, Dolby Atmos mix, high-fidelity, high-definition audio and wide stereo] [Instrumental Intro] [Verse] Look at me Now I’m alone again My heart feels so empty [Verse] I had to leave ‘Cause for your heart of stone I never found the key [Pre-chorus] I can’t go back, no Cause you hurt me so Kiss it goodbye and just Let it go [Chorus] What´s to say I´m sure it’s all been Said before I don’t want To talk it over Anymore This is not The love that we’ve been Looking for But that has all been said before It’s all been said before [Break] [Verse] Everyday You took my love for granted Just let it slip away [Verse] Not a thing That I said or did Made you change your ways [Pre-chorus] I can’t go back, no ‘Cause you hurt me so Kiss it goodbye and just Let it go [Chorus] What´s to say I´m sure it’s all been Said before I don’t want To talk it over Anymore This is not The love that we’ve been Looking for But that has all been said before It’s all been said before [Bridge] No - It’s not worth fighting for You always asked for more I did all a girl could do (all a girl could do) You said you´d give me love (give me love) But love is not enough (not enough) When the feelings are not true [Soft chorus] What´s to say I´m sure it’s all been Said before I don’t want To talk it over Anymore This is not The love that we’ve been Looking for But that has all been said before It’s all been said before [Soft outro] It’s all been said before

This song got lots of comments from fellow songwriters over on Facebook. I'm bumping it up just in case it might have got lost due to the many songs that were posted here lately.

Well done, Rob!!
Nicely written (although my brain wants to change a couple words/lines, but that's just me so ignore that).
The song overall is wonderful and you did an excellent job with it, sir!!
Peace,
Dave

Peace, Dave Hi Dave, I know exactly what you’re talking about. What you have to know here is that Martin wrote the original lyrics. Martin is from Austria. His English is pretty good, but he’s not a native speaker. I often work with lyricists from Europe who write in English. In most cases their English is not perfect. I try to avoid rewriting everything. In Martin’s lyrics I did correct a few of the things that were obvious but I always try to leave as much of the original lyrics as possible untouched so the lyricists still recognize that they wrote the song. I think you described it quite well, there are lines that you would probably want to change but they aren’t so bad that they actually need to be changed. I’m glad you liked the song. All the best - Robert

I don't see any grammar mistakes Rob , all makes sense, its not a country song , its more tell than show , which works
