The Leafs
🍃 We had a great time playing at Mayes Oyster House last night with Indestructible & Migrant Pickers! Such a cool historic venue that brought back memories of when I was a private investigator investigating a working girl who lived upstairs. From the web: Reminders of a varied past abound: the separate door to the bar before “ladies” were admitted to this male sanctuary; another door that used to open on stairs to the speakeasy downstairs or the rooms upstairs occupied by “ladies” of a different kind; and a few benign ghosts whose palpable presence is sworn to by the staff.
