This just recently occurred to me... Preliminary midi rough draft; https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14563504Time and expectation My age doesn't suit my mood Anxiety, anticipation But the mountains have never moved The Spirit of the ages Comforts me in stages But wisdom is useless When there's nothing I can do Complaining, debating Heaven's hesitating I'm just waiting The good book says there's a time for rest And there's nothing new under the sun But the hardest test once I've done my best Is accepting that my journey has just begun The Spirit of the ages Colors many stages And reminds me that There's nothing better to do Absolving, redeeming Heaven's contemplating I'm just waiting

I enjoyed this one and the crazy thing I don't think that I can tell you why. LOL There is just something about it, the music and your vocals; third time around and yes I like it.

If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

I really like the sound. Great songwriting, as usual. My only crit is aimed at the percussions...........they seem off and hectic ;-) Besides that (and it's probably just me) this is stellar!!

HA! You're right actually... I'm not even playing the bass. As a midi "rough draft" I just picked a beat and rolled with it lol

You write well Tony. imho This one seems more melodic than usual. Enjoyed the way that it drifts.

"Just Plain Folks is like a plow. A plow is a tool that can be used to help feed thousands of hungry people. But there are two groups of people on the planet. One group of people realizes that for the plow to help feed people, they must actually USE the plow to prepare the field to grow the food to feed the people. The second group of people are the ones who stand and stare at the plow and wait for the food to drop out of it. Of course that group is much smaller because those people all eventually starve to death." –Brian Austin Whitney
