not only waste money, but waste their time and energy trying to get a broadcast quality recording, when they are only capable of getting a demo.
It's hard enough writing good songs, everybody wants to be writer, singer, band, engineer and producer at the same time! Yep you need to have something decent to record in the first place.....We are in the age of multi task and multi talent....I am of the old school where you concentrated on YOUR strengths and got others in to cover the areas where you were weak. It was a merging of the minds and talents that produced the truly great stuff. I cannot think of too many people past or present who are masters of ALL....writing, performing, recording, mastering and producing. There are some who make a reasonably good job trying everything but tend to be jack of all master of none.
