... Most of the time I record I get a sound that lacks volume. No matter how you eq or compress it, it still sounds like a good sounding live vocal. Not a tight roomed, punchy, fat vocal... You will probably need to double the lead and backing vocals (at least) to get a fatter sound with what you have. I can't do that doubling too well, but it is amazing how many vocal tracks are recorded sometimes (and acoustic guitar tracks) in pro studios.
