Mike, I was smitten by the thought of a tube mic also. So I got an Elroy by Cascade. I'm not thrilled with it. I went back to my Studio projects large diaphram for vox and the Audio technica small diaphram for guitar. It was not bad just did not seem as good. I will pull it out and try it if I can't get something to sound right. But mostly it sits in it's case. Tom
