I stopped in at a friends open mic last night at a local gin mill. So I played a couple tunes. When I got up near the mic, I got a terrible whiff of pure unadulterated evil. That mic smelled like it was going to melt under the duress of hundreds of thousands of bits of spittle stored in a vultures crotch.
I had to keep my distance, the closest I could get was a foot away. The very next performer was a tall, thin, heavy on the strummin dude who, literally, was rubbing that mic all over his face. I could see his nose being moved around by that fetid chunk of metal... Sorry, I have to brush my teeth, and gargle and floss again...
