A thought. (Yes, another one. Hey, it's a new year.) It's not so much that it's hard to *write* a happyhappyjoyjoy song--I've done one or two myself--but I have to wonder what's the point. People want to listen to things they can relate to--and I'm not sure many people can relate to happiness.
