You were biased.

The first thing I look for when being critiqued is how that same person critiques others.

often, not always, they will say the complete opposite in somebody elses song. Sometimes people let the production of a song lead them to believe a song is better, even if it has the same cliche they faulted in another song.

Being you seem to be showing some remorse, Im willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and say your biasedness wasnt intentional.

Sometimes people dont like the genre and are more apt to pick on a song that is different than their comfort zone.

But that doesnt change much when you open up a crit with comments that you didnt think through.

Now my song can only get bad reviews on here. not that it matters, but when im trying to get unbiased crits for songs I might go and record again, with bonafide engineers and musicians to help me, I cant now get an honest gauge on it.

Nothing anyone says now will matter cause of your starting the negative vibe

Whereas, you wrote a love letter to the other song which had the same cliche in it.

Be consistent and fair. Crits are great, but make them mean something.
