Wow, I need TYLENOL!
How can anyone feel so personally attacked for writing a song. If you don't agree, then move to the next crit. Really, it's not something to get all worked up over. Everyone has opinions, and not everyone will agree. I think being specific in what you need form a crit is helpful, as well as realizing that what I think doesn't make a hill of beans (oops, a cliche) in the grand scheme of your life. Your attitude about all of this will be what makes you or breaks you, believe me, I've gotten soem pretty harsh crits, here and other places, I don't feel like it's personal though. Just part of what you get when looking for the truth, as it pertains to others. Not everyone will like what you write, not everyone will like what I write, I'm good with that. People will make money, continuously off of what someone, somewhere, doesn't like.
my 2 cents!

"Do not endeavor to be the smartest kid in a dumb class. Instead, you are better off being the dumbest kid in the smartest class, where you will be challenged and you will learn. If you aren't growing, you are dying." -Brian Austin Whitney
