My mother was given only a few days to live when they sent
her home with me last month.
Luckily the doctor's were WRONG on her length of remaining time.
Depending on test results this afternoon she is supposedly coming home today or tomorrow.
Between Hospice and myself we are making her final days as pleasant as possible.
I've been her care giver for the past five years and have butted heads with some real butt heads in the medical profession.
My brother and I have become even more close as a result of all of this as well.
Last year mom and I were able to fly to California and watch my brother get his PHD in psychology.
One of her crowning achievements was watching him receive his diploma with all of the love and pride that a parent can possilby have for a child.
Even though mom will be leaving us soon the love that we feel for her will remain with us through out the rest of our lives.
Thanks for sharing your heart warming story about your dad.
You made him proud!
