The picture really emphasizes how your and his eyes communicate a free, content, happy feeling, despite the fact of him being vry sick. That's something that must have been in him that also you have as a trait: Able to take into consideration all things, and be positive in the most difficult times.

Like my dad, who didn't have a dad after age ten, he too became a great person, as you have. And, you got to catch up after years of not being together. That's something to cherish, for I know my dad would have loved to have had that chance as an adult.
