My wife and I have adopted 5 children and while the biological father is absent in each of their lives, we know evendually they need to meet and/or reconcile with their father. All of them have had contact with their biological mother for better or worse. 25 years ago I would have told you that the biological connection between people is not as important as the interpersonal connection, but I can't say that today. Blood is thicker than water. If it takes 30 years or 10 years, it is still important for people to know where they came from; and even if they don't admit it, a father wants to know that his kid turned out OK. Brian I am glad you made your father proud.

"If you are stuck in your musical composing, be unreasonable. Change your environment. If you are stuck in your lyrical efforts, instead of forcing the same old words out, force yourself to do unreasonable things." -Brian Austin Whitney
