Looking So Far Back At Thirty
© 2008 lyrics Kevin Pearson

v1
If you remember black and white TV
Milk man delivered to your door
filling station pumped gas for free
Then we've both been here before

v2
Howdy Doody and Captain Kangaroo
grabbed a place in our hearts
The Beatles were brand new
and we loved them from the start

Childhood days from our past
Baby boomers growing up so fast

chorus
How did we ever get to be
Looking so far back at thirty……
Back then that passed for old
Oh my how the years have rolled
Never knew we would get to be
Looking so far back at thirty……

v3
Went to war and marched for peace
watched the eagle land on the moon
Kids swear that’s ancient history
But its just time that passed too soon

chorus
How did we ever get to be
Looking so far back at thirty……
Back then that passed for old
Oh my how the years have rolled
Never knew we would get to be
Looking so far back at thirty……

bridge
We've grown older but not up
The glass is still half full of luck
We've grown older but not up

chorus
How did we ever get to be
Looking so far back at thirty……
Back then that passed for old
Oh my how the years have rolled
Never knew we would get to be
Looking so far back at thirty……
