oh - after 4 months, i've just noticed that i forgot to mention in that message above: although we started the oahu songwriters group (oSg) with just 5 members 2 1/2 years ago, we now have over 65 members. in addition to the monthly meeting (feedback on songs & "general business"), we have a weekly live songwriter showcase, 3 monthly live songwriter showcases (meaning: in 3 different venues), a weekly songwriter showcase radio show (including songs submitted by JPF, KMF, and other non-oSgers), an upcoming live outdoor festival, an active network of members finding each other gigs (for playing originals), and many more things in the works.
You can't sing the blues in comfortable shoes.
