Steve everybody is entitled to an opinion but in future keep yours to yourself. I rather think you are the ignorant slut. I said before each to his own and only pointed out that I personally do not like EV mics is it a crime? Back to the glue sniffing sounds appropriate for you. Sheesh Vikki I suggest having a word with the engineer. But in any case most if not all the mics you are looking at are up to the mark and yes it is certainly not all about the mic a good sound engineer can adjust eq etc so do not worry.
