Hi All,
I like the song, and I like the discussion it provoked. I personally believe that a diet at least limiting your intake of red meat is a whole lot better for you than the diet most Americans have been eating for years. Just look at some of our ideal breakfasts: ham, sausage, bacon, biscuits in redeye gravy, all the eggs you can eat etc. Before anyone gets the wrong idea here, I love that breakfast. I'm limiting myself to having it about once or twice a year now though. I love living too much to give it up a whole lot sooner than I have to. It boils down to this. I know that I could live a lot longer in a better state of health if I ate a better diet. I also know I'd miss the taste of red meat. So I compromise, a lot less red meat for some more healthy years.
And every once in a while, a pork chop in each hand.
