I'm not Italian, Skipper, but I did grow up in an Italian neighborhood, and have tasted many delicacies. Interestingly scientists have also found that once someone has been ill, that dietary changes are not always the best remedy, as taking away a patients "flavor" reduces their will to live. As per myself, I try to eat as little red meat as possible, (an occassional burger, still hits the spot) and have taken to foods such as as red grapes, cherries, tomatoes, pomagrants juice, blackberries, rasperies, etc, to keep regeneration of cells alive and kicking. A two mile walk a day also does wonders for one's physical and mental health. Love is also a great healer, as misery or lack of love in one's life is unhealthy to say the least...Lots of contributing factors to a healthy lifestyle, diet is only one aspect, albeit an important one!
