Hi this old chestnut again. My advice for new singers or people trying to develop their voice. Record yourself singing along to a backing track. It need not be studio quality. Any Mini disc or tape deck etc connected to your amp or mixer will do the job. Play it back. If you have a good voice you will know. Voice tuition will always help. Give it a try. Some people over sing ie they put too much into it and lose the tune. Whilst others under sing ie hold back and stifle their voice. Try to control pitch with volume. and remember all songs have light and shade try to reflect this in your voice.
