Hi Bobbie, I would not choose to debate you on this issue at all. Mostly I agree with you. I have no clue as to the stability or pre-existance of the ozone hole. Just passing along something I have read.
I do wonder though where the CFC's are coming from. The United States and 180 countries around the world banned the use of CFC's in 1978. Just a few years after the hole was found.
If the CFC's are causing it where are they coming from?
I think I'll go on an internet search and see.
And, whether it has anything to do with any of it or not we are still coming out of the last Ice age. It won't be the first time the polar ice has melted. It has happened before. It will freeze again and it will melt again.
We might be helping it along but with or without us it will still happen. We are just freaking out because it is happening faster and in our life time.
Not sure who said the thing about the termites but I did read it in a science journal many years ago. I think it mighta been George Carlin, LOL.
