Actually Larry, there is a 4-track Mini-disc recorder. The discs are more expensive and you have to have a machine that does 4-track to mini-disc. I know they exist as a band I know uses it to mix their samples live from mini-disc.
Also, I did say "generally" the more you spend the better the mic.
