Here's a scale I use to get a middle-eastern, arabic "feel". By the way, I know very little about arabic music, but this scale has always sounded reminiscent, to me, of the little arabic music I've heard. 1 2b 3 4 5 6b 7 1 In C, this would be: C Db E F G Ab B C This scale allows for two augmented seconds, which give it an exotic feel.
