I'm sorry, but I can't really answer that one. I've had radio airplay on stations around the world, but I don't know whether they were major national stations or small local ones.

All of the royalties I received came from Germany. Not every station paid, but the larger stations paid quite well. I also received royalties when artists performed my songs live. There, too, the amount depended on the size of the venue. In one case, an artist performed one of my songs in front of an audience of several thousand people, and I received a few hundred dollars for that single performance.

That was all in Germany, though, so I don't know how it compares to the systems in other countries.
