Politics is poison John. I have seen FB connections lamenting that they had to de-friend longstanding friends because of their position vis-a-vis Trump...and they could not abide blah blah blah.

I know very little of Canada, other than it's beauty and how Charming Quebec City is... and do not care to know more.

The focus for an American these days is China and Russia and south of the border.
Having said that, I personally, consider Canada to be America's best ally.
Others will say Israel or the UK, but Canada is an intertwined trading nation which is much less likely to drag us into a foreign war than the Europeans or Israelis. Try to live up to my illusion. wink

I dislike seeing this site polluted with politics, even though its interesting.
If I engage a political conversation anyway, my goal will be to avoid knuckledragger name calling, but I wont be concerned with giving offense.
