About 30yrs ago, I placed an ad in Creative Loafing (Atl) looking for a female songwriter/singer to hit the open mic's with around town... This really shy, overweight girl, keyboardist, answered. I remember when she showed up at my apartment visibly shaking and nervous as a squirrel lol. I was very skeptical, but I smiled, told her to just relax and invited her in. I said, "Well, at least you don't have green hair and neck tattoos...;" she laughed. So, I let her listen to a few recordings I was working on and told her to pick one. I tuned up an acoustic, played and sang through a verse, then she joined in on the chorus... WHOLY $HIT, what a VOICE!
We hit Eddie's Attic five times, always mixing up our originals, and always placed in the nightly finals but never won...
Then, suddenly, she started having "husband trouble" and I never saw her again...
No, we never fooled around. That why she was having husband problems , You guys fooled around
We’re all built from the same dust and dreams, Different roads, but the same means.
