Well Dave, the world has gone to hell. Most people who share their Christian beliefs get made fun of or even shunned. The Internet has made most people believe they are smarter than everyone else, therefore anti Christian sentiments are thriving on line.
Again, I beg to differ, blue movies were always popular when I was a kid, and are still being made, sometimes a terrible movie can make money with the promo saying how cool it is.
Having said that, yeah you did throw a blanket of doubt over this guy and his project. How can he suddenly summon up a movie in which needs music, that he may consider music from this site, while at the same time making sure that the movie fits your moral compass?
I'd consider myself lucky to have one of my songs in any big movie, regardless if the movie was to my liking or not. Let's face it, there are not that many options in this business.
For me, my own album? Yes, I'd do it my way, under my terms, write what moves me....may not make a dime either. But for me to give a song to a movie that I'm not crazy about, is a no brainier.
As I said there are a lot worse things to be represented by.
That's like saying if they make w movie about a serial killer, you won't want your music in it. Would that mean you like the serial killer? Or you like the violence in the movie? No I do t think so
Short of writing music for a porno, I think I'd do it, but then again if somebody offered me 100k for one of my songs to be used as a theme for a porno, I'd probably take it. I can always tell people I never saw the movie...because I didn't agree with the cinematography.
To me it sounded a little unfair to our friend here, we shouldn't be shocked a movie like this is made, but how bad is it? Mother cussing at her daughter, some weird characters? I mean, I had friends in high school who when I went over their house would be cussing at their parents and vica versa.
I'd be like man if I ever said that to my dad he woulda knocked me out literally, and he was not a mean guy by any stretch.
And don't forget, Christian recording artists make alot of money singing about God. And I'm willing to bet that if you ran into one of them, and in need, they wouldn't lift a hand to help you.
I went to Catholic school. I see where your coming from, but this type of movie is constantly being made, they can make money
