Hi Kristi,
Thanks for stopping by and sharing our fun. The harmonica and guitar are courtesy of Kevin, a great addition to our couple of words and melody. Glad you like it.

This is a gem and I think it works really well. Top marks for your vocal Ricki - It’s worth doing a really polished version, it could become a cult classic – nice bridge!

Hi Nite, Thanks for listening. Most of that cleverness is due to Beth. She's always up for a challenge. If only I was into that whole performance thing. Musical performance, I mean. Ricki

If I could insert my opinion in this thread. . . I loved the song, really very witty. I was laughing out loud at several points. I know I should talk more but I am very sleepy now. Tom Good morning Tom, You've always struck me as a gentleman, so your insertion was well-received . Glad too we could keep you awake long enough to laugh out loud. That's music to my ears. Thanks for the visit! Beth

I never dreamed this little crossroad I am from would be immortalized in a song, I enjoyed it!!! If you had added you take horneytown road to get there (no kidding) it would have pushed it over the top!
Great job girls!!!:)
KIM Hi Kim .... So NOW you tell us about that little gem? That you can't reach Climax without Getting Off at HorneyTown? Holy smokes...I gotta see pictures of this place. ANYHOO, so delighted your once off-hand comment has morphed into this fun-loving naughty little tune. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say thank you for the inspiration!! Cheers, Beth

Hi Ricki & Beth, Well, you gals know how to have fun… I like the harmonica and blues style you’ve added to it…ya know….it’s always entertaining to hear what you two do with a couple of words and a little melody…! lol Kristi Hiya Kristi... Having written with both Ricki and me before, YOU at least know not to believe all this "BETH is the naughty one" malarkey Ricki has been spouting ! She is a dear though, too, so I just try to take a few moments from my needlepoint and charity work to keep her on the straight and narrow... That aside (LOL!), so glad you enjoyed this. Kevin really added some neat embellishments...and it's a kick to see what a kernel of an idea can turn into. Thanks for the visit! Beth the Blasphemed

Ricki, Loved it! Great play on words. I agree that it will find it's spot in some movie, it's perfect!
Tracy Hey Tracy, Coming from you, that means a lot. Though as yet I haven't had a chance to give you an official BRAVO, I've listened to a song or two of yours and am MORE than impressed. Thank you so much for your kind feedback. Cheers, Beth

Hi Pete, Thanks for listening. I actually thought about your guitar playing while I was struggling with this one. "Where's Pete when I need him?" I think I can speak for Beth and myself when I say we're glad it was as good for you as it was for us! Ricki

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for the great comments. I'm sorry I was so negligent in letting everyone know how helpful your suggestion was for that bridge. It added just the right amount of sass.
On another note, not to get too personal, but looking at your avatar, have you recently put on some weight?

Too funny!!! I agree. There are some really crazy names some places. It's even crazier when you find out how many states use the same ones. Anyway, great job!

What a great song. I had a smile on my face the whole time. I wish I had something to add but I do not. Great song! Hi there John, Sorry for the delay in getting back to people on this...Life just keeps getting in the way! Anyhoo, thanks so much for the visit. As for anything to add, no worries -- didn't you hear a smile is worth a thousand words? Take care, Beth

Hey Ricki,
Very clever mate. The way they used to do the blues in the 50's especially, to hide "sexually explicit" material. ( and way back to the 30's )
Nice one. It would be a cool song to play live.
cheers, niteshift Hey nite, Boy, "clever" is one of my favorite comments, so thanks for that. Ricki and I were true partners in crime on this one. Regarding Ricki playing it live, I'd have to agree it would be cool -- at the very least, it beats the alternative . Ciao for now, Beth

OMG, you made me smile and caught me off guard. This is clever, very good write and all in all it is just fun ... That is what this is all about, fun ...
you know I am a huge fan ... and this is no exception
Play on my friend Dan Hey there Dan! Yay, another smile -- we must have done something right here . If we did though, it's Ricki's fault .... Naturally, I'm with you -- she rocks. Though in this case, she sneakily blued . Thanks so much for the generous and fun-filled feedback . Cheers, Beth

Well at least your home town had a stop light, mine only had a blinker. Kinda like your song going to Climax, blink, blink. What state is Climax in? Is it I da ho? Maybe Virgin nah? Well I had a good time listening and I know it was good for you. Maybe you could send this song to Mary Flower who is a local Blues gal here in Portland. But if she sang this one she might want to change her name to Mary dee Flower? Okay gotta go.
Pete Oh my goodness Pete, you are certainly full of good ideas! It's nice to see a song trigger such fun tangents. Thanks so much for your input and suggestions ... Take care, Beth

Hey Ricki. Pretty bold stuff coming from a shy hippie girl. Stay away from Beth. Bad influence. Hi there Ben, Well it appears the cat is out of the bag. I thought for sure you guys were buying the demure wallflower act... As for Ricki, she IS the epitome of shy; I'm just grateful she starts drinking so early in the day... Those character analyses aside, thanks for your visit Ben. Glad you enjoyed it... ciao for now, Beth

Hi there Nige, Aren't you sweet to say such nice things. I've always wanted to be part of a cult classic...and I'm so grateful it's something legal. As for a "polished version", there's a rumor that Tammy is going to give it a shot (though I still love what Ricki did with it ). Thanks too for your assistance on the bridge...and combined with Kevin's musical enhancements, this has really been a group effort. Appreciate your input as always Nigel. Take care, Beth

Thank you so much for giving us a listen. We had a lot of fun playing around with the lyrics...and Ricki surely sold it with her bluesy vocal. We were pretty pumped to hear Kevin's additions, and we're looking forward to hearing what Tammy does with it too. So I guess over and above "THANKS", a big "STAY TUNED" is in order... Until then, take care, Beth

I remember this one, very clever. It deseves some more musical work to finish it, even to demo stage. The uniqueness is priceless.
