I managed to get Her jealous somehow & The More I Tried to talk it over The Less She Believed Me.. Then we had a quarrel... Not The Usual Quarrel, The ones where we'd kiss & make up & the next day was Better-Than-Ever... NO, This Talk went Absolutely Nowhere and by The Next Day we Weren't Speaking Anymore.... And tonight, God, You're All I Got... This line: "I managed to get her jealous somehow" ...seems to indicate you don't know the reason, yet here you say: "I told her The Truth..& she DID Set Me Free" This line is weak for you: "Her Leaving Me Isn't Fair" This line: "I Wish You'd Give Me Just One Sign" ...feels like a set-up that you don't complete later. "I've not got ONE Secret I've ever Held-Back SOME Secrets I'd never tell Anyone Else. We shared Our Secrets with each other.. I don't like that you used "secret(s) 3 times here. I don't feel the last verse is up to the standard of the rest. For this to work as a song, the lyric needs to be super-passionate. We need to feel the singers desperation. Best of luck Stan! -Mike

I'll have to reflect a while before changing this'n' much... But, the Happy Ending Song's posted here...somewhere...& somehow Things All Worked Out. Wasn't really expecting it to...some mighty Unkind Words were Said, ALL Very-Regrettable the Next Day, of course..& even with a "Victory" ya feel a little-bit's been lost. But I truly DO believe in Divine Intervention, & think maybe This Lyric worked its Miracle. For which, I'll be as Eternally-Grateful..as a man can get.
