Dave, What a beautiful adaptation! I think I now know how Kristofferson must have felt when he first heard one of his demos covered by a major artist.
You really give this the tex-mex feel it was meant to have with that lovely guitar picking. You've done right on this song. Thanks for bringing the song to life!

Your voice really fits the tune. I'm hearing a few hiccups at the beginning instrumental part---timing issues--minor but noticeable to this guitarist's ears.
Nice work man.

hi zeek, how perceptive of you, lol, and you are correct. rather than re-record a bunch of stuff i opted to use my sliders in a, a-hum, creative way . when they aproach me with that big record deal i'll get right on my tascam 8-trk and fix it lol. thanx for checking this out. your input is appreciated. cheers, dmk

You did a nice job on that, Dave. I agree with Dan - the guitar part is beautifully arranged. I liked the instrumental section too. Nice work!

This is a nice arrangement -- the guitars and vocals sound pretty good to me. .. and Dan always writes great lyrics. The drum part is a little "different" -- I would rethink that.
Good stuff. I think I remember Dan's version, too (if there was one -- ha, ha).

This is REALLY Beautiful!!! Nice job!! The lyrics are so touching, and the music and vocals are perfect for it! David, you have such a nice sound in your voice and your guitar!
